Distinguish the seasonal rules at Richmond Beach
Richmond Beach Saltwater Park in Shoreline is at 2021 NW 190th Street. The city generally gives dawn-to-dusk park access; longer hours on another website are not an entrance guarantee. Its off-leash dog area operates seasonally from November 1 through March 15. A late-October visit should not assume that season has already begun. Follow permitted-use and leash signs elsewhere in the park. Shape a waterfront pause, picnic or short walk around the route actually open that day. A facility list does not establish identical surfaces or gradients throughout all paths.

A Grilled Salmon main course at Blackbird
Blackbird Cafe & Bar, at 1843 NW 195th Street, is a documented meal option around Richmond Beach. Its dinner menu describes Grilled Salmon with Coho salmon, beurre blanc, seasonal vegetables and Yukon mashed potatoes. Confirm availability and current charges when ordering. Although general business hours show nine to eight, the homepage gives dinner service from four to eight. Morning opening does not establish morning availability of this main course. Do not turn inconsistent everyday and weekend breakfast descriptions into a definite brunch promise. Discuss accompaniments or dietary requirements with staff before ordering. Menus from a Brisbane restaurant or another business sharing the Blackbird name do not describe this Shoreline address.
Nearby accommodation in Edmonds
For an overnight stay, consider Best Western Plus Edmonds Harbor Inn in nearby Edmonds. It should not be presented as a Shoreline hotel. Plan a separate journey from the park and restaurant to 130 West Dayton Street. Current brand information gives a three o’clock check-in, eleven o’clock checkout, free parking and hot breakfast. Check room charges for the date and category you select. Travellers with pets should obtain current acceptance conditions directly rather than carry forward a daily fee from an older page. Accommodation in one city does not establish an included shuttle to a waterfront stop in another. Decide whether checking in before or after dinner works better for your group. Explain luggage storage and early room access as separate requests.

Connecting from rail to Richmond Beach
Shoreline North/185th Station offers a rail approach. Sound Transit currently lists both the 1 and 2 lines, but check the operating arrangements and maintenance notices for your date. Metro’s boarding map associates route 348 toward Richmond Beach with Bay 3. A station carrying the Shoreline name does not remove the last journey to the beach entrance. The accessible Metro advisory identifies northbound stop 74885 at 8th Avenue NW and NW Richmond Beach Road as closed for construction during an August-to-December period. That single-stop notice does not mean the entire 348 route is closed. Select the right direction and an appropriate alternative through the planner. Likewise, do not automatically extend a dated mid-October rail maintenance notice to a journey at the end of the month.
Match the waterfront approach to a short outing
A visit to Richmond Beach Saltwater Park need not cover every path in one session. At the entrance, identify the open route and a return direction before choosing a section that suits the group. The municipal listing includes unpaved trails. Amenities beside a park name do not certify accessibility throughout every path. Visitors with pushchairs or mobility equipment should check the relevant surfaces and gradients separately. Keep shared routes clear while stopping for a sea view. Agree on shoreline boundaries and a turning point with children before beginning. A shorter outdoor pause remains an option when rain or wind increases. Do not make the success of the visit depend on seeing a promised animal; observations in a natural environment vary from one outing to another.

Check the actual date for an off-leash visit
Separate the off-leash season from general park use. The city publishes November 1 through March 15; a late-October visit cannot borrow permission from a season beginning a few days later. Within the season, conditions still apply to the designated and signed area rather than every part of the coast. Follow leash requirements and on-site instructions in other permitted areas, and check restrictions around play spaces or reserved facilities. Hotel pet acceptance is a separate matter from park rules. Ask about an appropriate room, animal numbers and charges when booking. An outdoor restaurant seating area likewise does not guarantee a suitable pet table every day. Making these distinctions before leaving helps the day proceed comfortably without treating one permission as a substitute for another.
Read the regional archive images accurately
The five public-domain National Park Service photographs on this page were not taken in Shoreline. They come from the 2006 winter archive at American Camp on San Juan Island. Fences, snowy open ground and historic buildings do not depict today’s Richmond Beach surfaces or Blackbird’s exterior. Location and period descriptions in the captions preserve that distinction. Snow is not a present weather report, and an open-looking archive scene does not establish access to a local entrance today. American Camp needs a separate travel and time plan. It is not a nearby walking extension after this Shoreline park pause. Use municipal information, business addresses and current directions for entrances, service and return decisions. Archive imagery can accompany an introduction to the region without functioning as direct evidence for the daily route.

Give dinner and the return a flexible order
Build the day around outdoor time, a documented main meal and either the return journey or nearby Edmonds accommodation. When darkness comes early, put the waterfront walk before dinner. Blackbird’s four-to-eight dinner window requires a different plan from its general nine o’clock opening. Ask about salmon availability and accompaniments before choosing the dish. Day visitors can check the intended rail and bus connection before sitting down. A closure affecting one route 348 stop does not automatically cancel the entire journey; examine alternatives in the right direction. Budget for transport, food and accommodation separately instead of inventing a total where prices are unconfirmed. Water, rain protection and suitable footwear remain useful even on a brief outing. If access or weather changes, reducing the programme is a workable choice.
