Three days in Hurghada need not mean a different boat excursion every morning. A balanced first visit combines the Red Sea, a short exploration of the city and time in its antiquities museum. Put a weather-dependent sea outing in the middle, leaving the other days for streets, waterfront scenery and an unhurried dinner. This itinerary assumes accommodation around Hurghada itself. Hotels in El Gouna or farther south involve different transfers, so check the property's position before choosing it for attractive room photographs alone.
Arrival, transfers and a real hotel option
Plan your arrival through Hurghada International Airport, HRG. Save your hotel's complete name and map location for the driver. Arrange the first transfer with your accommodation or a transport company providing a written confirmation. Clarify the total charge, currency, luggage allowance and waiting arrangements. A single quoted city taxi fare would not describe every journey or service, particularly when hotels marketed under the destination name are spread along the coast.

A concrete accommodation option is Hurghada Marriott Beach Resort on El Corniche Road. Its official page places the airport seven kilometres away and lists check-in at 15:00 and checkout at noon. Airport-transfer promotional text conflicts with its regular shuttle information, so obtain written confirmation for your booking rather than assuming a free pickup. Read the meal plan, beach access and room category separately. The city photographs in this guide do not represent a particular hotel room.
Day one: the harbour and Al Mina
Keep arrival day simple. After leaving your luggage, take a short walk around the harbour area and watch the boats. Looking at boats and purchasing an excursion should remain separate decisions: establish the departure point, vessel and return arrangements before paying. Egypt's official tourism website presents Hurghada as a destination combining a marina, traditional markets and marine activities, giving you enough variety without immediately committing to a full day offshore.

Add an exterior stop at Al Mina Mosque. Do not assume that tourist access is available at every hour; follow the day's worship arrangements and the staff's instructions. Cover shoulders and knees, ask about entry procedures and seek permission before photographing people closely. An exterior architectural stop is worthwhile on its own. Decide how you will return before extending the walk, especially when the afternoon is hot.
Day two: let the sea conditions set the route
Putting the boat outing in the middle leaves some flexibility if wind changes the programme. CDWS's Hurghada guide explains that many diving sites are reached by boat and strong winds can limit access. Ask whether the Giftun protected-area charge is included. An island stop, a snorkelling excursion and a scuba dive are different products: choose according to your experience and read the actual itinerary. Encounters with dolphins or other particular animals should never be treated as guaranteed.
Clarify equipment, a guide, flotation aids, transfers, lunch and cancellation arrangements before buying. Describe your swimming experience accurately rather than selecting an advanced dive from a promotional video. Listen to the operator's environmental briefing, consistent with CDWS guidance, and avoid standing on coral or disturbing animals for a picture. Ask how a changed route relates to sea conditions. If an outing is cancelled, bring the museum and city programme forward instead of trying to force the original schedule.
Day three: Hurghada Museum
Hurghada Museum adds Egyptian history to a seaside stay. The ministry lists normal daily hours of 10:00–13:00 and 17:00–23:00, with ticket sales ending at noon and 22:00 respectively. Do not arrive at 14:00 expecting continuous opening. Foreign adult admission is listed as EGP300. Ramadan follows a different timetable and should be checked separately. Allowing around ninety minutes is a comfortable planning choice rather than an official mandatory visit duration.

Concentrate on a few objects instead of photographing every case. Leave bulky luggage at the hotel and do not touch exhibits. Arriving near closing can make the visit rushed even if tickets remain available. The museum photograph dates from 2021 and does not promise an identical current exhibition layout. A morning visit leaves the hottest part of the afternoon free for a break.
Old-town streets and dinner
Explore the old-town area towards El Dahar as a separate short outing. Save your return meeting point before shopping, discuss prices and currencies clearly, and leave space for residents going about their day. The exact date of the old-town photograph could not be reliably established, so it should not be used as current shop or street guidance.

For a proper main meal, consider Ristorante Tuscany inside the Marriott. The operator lists homemade pasta, seafood and steak, with daily service from 18:30 to 23:00. Choose a steak main and confirm accompaniments when ordering. Ask about outside guests, availability and prices when reserving; a hotel stay does not automatically include this restaurant. Follow its smart-casual dress code.
Leave the final evening free
Avoid placing a distant desert or boat excursion immediately before your flight. The sunset mountain photograph illustrates Hurghada's surroundings without making a desert trip obligatory. Leave time to pack and reconfirm your airport transfer, finishing with a relaxed evening rather than another complicated journey.
